昨年の「アニメを作ってみた！」に引き続き、今年の10月のTopic「Imagination」の集大成は、White OwlとRed Foxの園児たちが総力を挙げて臨んだ共同作業💪「オリジナル絵本」の作成です。構想2週間！ 総ページ50ページ！ その大作がようやく完成に近づきつつあるようです👍

Halloween is coming up fast!

We are more than halfway through October now, which means Halloween is coming up fast! Are you prepared for spooky season? This month, we have been both preparing for the event, as well as training our imagination and creativity.

We can finally announce that the Red Fox and White Owl joint special project this month is a storybook! It is authored, illustrated, written, and designed all by the children. This week, we began the writing and illustrating process, which meant lots of teamwork! With so many pages to work on, it would certainly be quite a task, but the children were always overjoyed to work on it.

10月も半ばを過ぎ、ハロウィンが間近に迫ってきました。幽霊のでそうな季節の準備はお済みですか？今月は、その準備と同時に、想像力と創造力を鍛えてきました。

今月のRed FoxとWhite Owlの共同特別企画は、ついに絵本です。作者、イラストレーター、脚本、デザインはすべて子どもたちによるものです。今週は、たくさんのチームワークを引き起こす文章とイラストのプロセスを開始しました！ページ数も多く、大変な作業ですが、子どもたちはいつも大喜びで取り組んでいました。

By pairing up, each team discussed together their page, and what was happening in the story. They decided who would write, taking turns and helping each other. They decided who would draw what, and what needed to appear in the picture.

This wasn’t the same as free time or coloring on the back of your paper. The pictures needed to tell a story! We can’t give away too much about the story right now, though. It was crafted after days of brainstorming, discussions, and brand-new ideas.

We put it all together. Even the exact words chosen on each page were spoken by the children themselves. It has been two weeks of work so far, but it will likely take a third to bring everything together. Please look forward to it!

2人一組になって、各チームは自分たちのページや物語で起こっていることについて話し合いました。誰が書くのかを決め、交代で助け合い、誰がなにを描くのか、絵の中になにを登場させるかを決めました。

これは、自由時間や紙の裏に色を塗るのとは違います。絵にはストーリーが必要なのです。そのストーリーについては、今はあまり多くを語ることはできません。ブレーンストーミング、ディスカッション、真新しいアイデアを何日もかけて作り上げたものです。

私たちはそれをすべてまとめました。各ページに選ばれた正確な言葉も、子どもたち自身が話したものなのです。ここまで2週間の作業でしたが、すべてをまとめるには3週間かかるでしょう。楽しみにしていてほしいです。

Creativity takes many forms though, and with Halloween approaching, we wanted more to do with it! This time, we would try our hand at making something 3D with paper. In fact, it was something we could get our real hands into!

By folding the paper into a tube shape and adding a bit of glue…We could quickly make a hand puppet! What would it become? I see sharp white teeth… And wings like a bat…Add some hair, and some eyes, and… oh no!! It’s a scary vampire bat!

Watch out or you might get eaten!!

紙を筒状に折って、のりをつけると…。 すぐにハンドパペットを作ることができた。何になるのかな？ 鋭い白い歯が見える。コウモリのような羽も、 髪の毛と目もつけて…！ 怖い吸血コウモリだ！
