先日の敬老の日を前に、「プリ・クラス」では、子どもたちがいつもお世話になっている祖父母のみなさまをお招きしてファミリー・コンサートを開催しました。

Music Classを担当していただいているMs. Kumikoのきれいな歌声、先日の垂水区役所ホールのコンサートでもお世話になったMs. Mayumiの力強いキーボード、そして特別ゲストで参加いただいた神戸市消防音楽隊の素晴らしい演奏に交じり、子どもたちも一緒に参加させていただくことができ、とても楽しいコンサートになりました。

じぃじ・ばぁばのみなさま、日頃から子どもたちの送迎等、お世話いただき本当にありがとうございます。いつまでもお元気で笑顔あふれる日々を過ごしてくださいね。

Family Jamboree!🎺

Speaking of the Family Concert, how did you enjoy it? We had a lot of fun preparing for it, though we tried to keep the practices light and simple. We wanted the feeling of the concert to be more casual and a chance for everyone to see us sing and dance as we normally do, as well as participating in a lot of other performances.

Overall Red Fox and White Owl did an amazing job following all their teachers, joining in on the songs, and behaving themselves on stage and in their seats. I was very pleased with everyone! I’m looking forward to our other performances as the year goes on.

ファミリーコンサートについてですが、いかがでしたか？ 準備はとても楽しかったですが、練習は軽めでシンプルにしようと心がけました。コンサートはもっとカジュアルな雰囲気にして、普段通りの歌やダンス、そして他のパフォーマンスも皆さんに見ていただける機会にしたいと考えました。

レッドフォックスとホワイトアウルは、先生たちの指示に従い、歌にも参加し、ステージでも席でも行儀よく振る舞い、素晴らしいパフォーマンスを見せてくれました。みんなの頑張りにとても満足しています！今年の他のパフォーマンスも楽しみにしています。

We were lucky to get the chance to perform with our music teacher, as well as a real band of firefighters! It was an exciting chance for everyone to get on stage and have a special time.

I was also moved to see so many graduates come join in. Even though there was no obligation to join, many of them showed up to sing and cheer on their siblings. In the end, we had a great time singing and dancing together.

I will take some time to talk about our English choice of songs this time. We practiced in CHES park, so there wasn’t nearly as much space as on the stage. Everyone in Red Fox and White Owl were able to quickly form their lines, which was impressive.

音楽の先生と本物の消防団員と一緒に演奏する機会に恵まれ、本当に嬉しかったです！みんながステージに立ち、特別な時間を過ごせた、とても刺激的な機会でした。

たくさんの卒業生が参加してくれたことにも感動しました。参加は義務ではありませんでしたが、多くの卒業生が歌ったり、兄弟姉妹を応援したりするために来てくれました。最後は一緒に歌ったり踊ったりして、とても楽しい時間を過ごしました。

今回の英語での選曲について少しお話したいと思います。CHESパークで練習したので、ステージほど広いスペースはありませんでした。レッドフォックスとホワイトアウルの皆さんは、すぐに列を組むことができて感心しました。

Our first song was Down By The Bay!

This is a funny song about silly rhymes that don’t make sense. We chose it because we are close to the ocean (like a bay is) and because it is a good chance to test our voices on the stage.

Each White Owl paired up with another and sang one of the rhymes out loud, while Red Fox reacted with laughs or funny faces.

Rhymes are a great way to practice English, and we have been coming up with more rhymes that fit the song in our free time. And of course, making funny faces and saying silly things is a great way to get more comfortable on the big stage!

最初の曲は「ダウン・バイ・ザ・ベイ」！ これは意味不明な、おかしな韻を踏んだ面白い歌です。この場所が海に近い（湾のように）ことと、ステージで自分たちの声を試す絶好の機会だからこの曲を選びました。

ホワイトアウルたちはペアになり、それぞれの韻を声に出して歌いました。レッドフォックスたちは笑ったり、変な表情をしたりして反応しました。

韻を踏むことは英語の練習にぴったりで、私たちは自由時間にこの曲に合う韻をもっと考えてきました。そしてもちろん、変な顔をしたり、おかしなことを言ったりすることは、大きなステージでよりリラックスするのに最適な方法です！

Our second song was a dance number called Big Blue Whale.

We chose this song because we had been talking a lot about whales, animals, and oceans lately and it was a popular dance.

We wanted to show off our dance moves in front of everyone, even if we just sing it to warm up and have fun. We added a few moves, such as switching the lines when swimming, but otherwise just had fun with it.

We helped Blue Bird with their Ladybug song, and joined in Rowing our Boats with Yellow Kangaroo.

2曲目は「Big Blue Whale（大きな青いクジラ）」というダンスナンバーでした。最近、クジラや動物、海についてよく話していたことと、人気のダンスだったことから、この曲を選びました。

ウォーミングアップで楽しく踊るために歌うだけでも、みんなの前でダンスの動きを披露したかったのです。泳ぐときにラインを変えるなど、いくつか動きを加えましたが、それ以外はとにかく楽しく踊りました。

Blue Birdの「てんとう虫の歌」を手伝ったり、Yellow Kangarooの「ボートを漕ぐ」に参加したりしました。

However, our last song was We Are A Family.

This is a song specifically requested as it fit the theme of the concert. We tried to get everyone on stage and even in the audience singing with us.

The meaning of the song is that your family is a very important and special part of your life, and you should keep them close. But everyone is important and special too, and we are all people. So, we are ALL family, in a way. It is a song about coming together and sharing love, which I hope we were able to do.

最後の曲は「We Are A Family」でした。これはコンサートのテーマにぴったりだったので、特にリクエストいただいた曲です。ステージ上の皆さんだけでなく、観客の皆さんにも一緒に歌ってもらえるように努めました。

この曲の意味は、「家族は人生においてとても大切で特別な存在なので、大切にしておきたい。でも、みんなも大切で特別な存在で、私たちは皆人間です。だから、ある意味、私たちは皆家族なのです」ということです。
この曲は、一緒に集まり、愛を分かち合うことについて歌っており、私たちがそれを表現できたことを願っています。

ご来場いただいた皆様、ありがとうございました。そして、敬老の日おめでとうございます！ さて、私たちは通常のクラスに戻り、次のイベント「運動会」について考えていきます！
