Good afternoon, everyone.

Today, everyone was so excited that it was 7/7. So, we had to make it a special occasion and talk about Tanabata more.

We all remembered the story of Orihime and Hikoboshi from last week, so we took the time to learn about constellations and what they look like in the sky. We read an interesting book that showed many examples of them, including a map of what shapes the stars are in.

We were also very happy that it is a sunny and clear day. We read in the story that if it was rainy, Hikoboshi could not meet with Orihime.

So perhaps today, the sky will be clear and we will be able to see them! But how can we find them?

Hikoboshi is represented by the star Altair in the Aquila constellation. We drew a picture. It looks like a bird!

Orihime is represented by the star Vega in the Lyra constellation. It looks like a lyre or a harp. What do you think?

From the map in the book we read, it looks like Orihime and Hikoboshi are nearby eachother. If we look up into the sky tonight, maybe we can spot them!

We worked on a craft using paper, cotton swabs, and glue. We tried to make our own versions of the two constellations. It was an interesting experiment!

When we live in a city, it is often hard to see the night sky and the beautiful shapes the stars make. Maybe, if we are lucky, we can see them tonight.

今日は7/7ということで、みんな大喜びでした。そこで、特別な日として、七夕の話をもっとすることになりました。

先週の織姫と彦星の話をみんな覚えていたので、星座について、空でどのように見えるかをじっくりと学ぶことに。星がどんな形をしているかという地図も含めて、たくさんの例が紹介されている面白い本を読みました。

また、今日は晴れていてとても幸せです。もし雨が降っていたら、彦星は織姫に会えなかったとお話で読んだからです。

だから、今日は晴れて、星が見えるかもしれない。でも、どうやって探せばいいんだろう？

彦星は、わし座の牽牛星（けんぎゅうせい）という星で表されています。絵を描いてみたら鳥みたいだね。

織姫は、琴座のベガという星です。竪琴やハープに似ていますね。どうでしょう？

本の中の地図では、織姫と彦星は近くにいるように見えます。今夜、空を見上げたら、二人を見つけられるかもしれませんね。

紙と綿棒とのりを使っての工作。2つの星座を自分たちで作ってみました。面白い試みでしたよ。

都会に住んでいると、夜空や星が作る美しい形を見ることができないことがあります。もしかしたら、今夜は運が良ければ見えるかもしれません。
