インターナショナル・プリスクールCHESのBlue Bird（年少）クラスでは、5月のTopicに関連して「emotion」を確認していたところ、ランチタイムに想定外の「Happy！」を体験できたようです😄

Our topic was about emotions!

We discussed what is an emotion. We decided to define it as; an emotion is how we feel about something. Sometimes we feel happy, we feel sad or even angry.

We discussed what situations make us feel these certain emotions. We tried to think about the cases where we feel each specific emotion.

私たちは「感情」とは何かについて話し合いました。私たちは感情を次のように定義することにしました。感情とは、何かについて私たちがどのように感じるかです。時には幸せを感じたり、悲しくなったり、怒りを感じたりすることもあります。

私たちはどのような状況でこのような特定の感情を感じるのかについて話し合いました。それぞれの具体的な感情を感じるケースについて考えてみました。

We said that after spending time with our family, we feel happy! After losing one of our toys, we may feel sad. We also discussed how to deal with negative emotions.

We talked about what to do when we get sad or when we get angry. We remembered to discuss what not to do as well especially when we are angry😊

家族と過ごした後は幸せな気持ちになります。おもちゃを失った後、私たちは悲しくなるかもしれません。ネガティブな感情にどう対処するかについても話し合いました。

悲しいときや怒ったときにどうすればよいかについて話し合いました。特に怒っているときにしてはいけないことについて話し合うことを忘れませんでした😊

Later, we did a coloring activity about our topic.

その後、トピックに関係するoloring のアクティビティをしましたよ。

Before lunch time

Before lunch time, Ms. Masami told us that the strawberries in the CHES garden was ready to eat! That meant strawberry picking for us! We got ready by getting our shoes and stepping outside to pick some yummy strawberries.

お弁当の前に、CHES Gardenのイチゴが食べごろになったとMs. Masamiが教えてくれました。それは私たちにとってイチゴ狩りを意味しています。靴を履いて外に出て、おいしいイチゴを摘む準備をしました。

At first, we talked about to how pick the strawberries in the correct way. We discussed that we need to pick up the red strawberries only! If they are green that means that they are not ready to eat yet. Also, we discussed where to hold them while picking them.

We need to be careful picking them by holding the stem since strawberries are really fragile and easy to squish.

まずはイチゴの正しい摘み方について話し合いました。イチゴは赤いものだけを摘みます。緑色のイチゴはまだ食べごろではないということなのです。また、イチゴを摘むときにどこを持つかについても話し合いました。

イチゴは本当にもろく簡単につぶれてしまうので、ヘタの部分を持って慎重に摘む必要がりました。

Everyone understood how to do it and did a good job! You can see how hard we worked to find and pick the most delicious and red strawberries. Eating them together after lunch was so much fun! We enjoyed eating it a lot.

みんな摘み方を理解して、上手に摘み取ることができましたよ。 私たちがどれだけ一生懸命、おいしくて真っ赤なイチゴを探して摘み取ったのか、お分かりいただけると思います。昼食後にみんなで食べるのはとても楽しかったです。とても美味しくいただきました！
