CHES「プリ・クラス」のValentine’s dayの様子です。Yellow KangarooからWhite Owlまでの全園児でいつもお世話になっているママ・パパへ「I Ｌove You」を伝えるためにプレゼントの準備をしました。

ところで、家に持ち帰った手作りチョコレートのプレゼントは独り占めせずに、ママとパパにちゃんと渡せましたか😄

Happy Valentine’s day!

Today is a special day that we can show love for the people we care about. We decided to make a special craft for our parents and siblings who are always so kind and caring to us. We thought that it would be a good idea to give them these little presents to show our love!

First, we decided to make something with chocolate since it is the traditional snack for the Valentine’s Day. However, we wanted to make it a little bit different by adding some other ingredients to make it more authentic. We added some cereals and heart shaped marshmallows. Cereals to make it a bit crunchy and heart shaped marshmallows to make it look cuter and show our love.

ハッピー・バレンタインデー！今日は、大切な人に愛を伝える特別な日。私たちは、いつも親切にしてくれる両親や兄弟のために、特別なクラフトを作ることにしました。私たちの愛を伝えるために、このような小さなプレゼントを贈るのはいい考えだと思いました。

まず、バレンタインデーの伝統的なお菓子であるチョコレートを使ったものを作ることにした。しかし、より本格的なものにするために、他の材料を加えて少し違ったものにしたかった。シリアルとハート型のマシュマロを加えました。シリアルで歯ごたえを出し、ハート型のマシュマロでかわいらしさと愛を表現することにしました。

Later came the second step. We needed to melt some chocolate to be able to mix the chocolate and the crushed cereal together. We used some chocolate chips and put them in a bowl to melt them. However, we needed to be careful not to burn the chocolate. We placed another bowl under the main bowl and put some boiling water in it.

This way, with the help of the boiling water under the chocolate bowl, we could gently melt the chocolate. Ms. Masami told us that we need 60 degrees to melt the chocolate. It was a success. We did not burn the chocolate and we were ready to mix the cereal and the chocolate together.

その後、次のステップの始まりです。チョコレートと砕いたシリアルを混ぜ合わせるために、チョコレートを溶かす必要があります。チョコレートチップを使い、ボウルに入れて溶かしました。しかし、チョコレートを焦がさないように注意する必要があります。メインのボウルの下にもうひとつボウルを置き、そこに熱湯を入れることに。

こうすることで、チョコレートボウルの下にある熱湯の助けを借りて、チョコレートを静かに溶かすことができました。Ms. Masamiがチョコレートを溶かすには60度が必要だと教えてくれました。上手くできましたよ。チョコレートを焦がすことなく、シリアルとチョコレートを混ぜ合わせる準備ができたのです。

By taking turns, we helped melting the chocolate and mixing the ingredients together. We also added a little bit of milk into our bowl to make the chocolate even tastier.

After mixing it all up, we needed to put the mixture into the small cups. There was a challenge in this part though. Because it was so easy for the chocolate to go back to its solid form, we needed to be really quick putting the mixture into our cups.

交代でチョコレートを溶かしたり、材料を混ぜ合わせたりしました。チョコレートをより美味しくするために、ミルクも少し入れることに。全部混ぜたら、小さなカップに入れます。しかし、ここは注意が必要です。チョコレートがかたくなりやすいので、カップに入れるときは本当に手早くする必要がります。

After putting the mixture into our cups, we were ready to decorate! We got our heart shaped marshmallows and placed them on the top. With this finishing touch, our snacks looked both yummy and super cute!

混ぜたものをカップに入れ終えたら、デコレーションの準備です。ハートの形をしたマシュマロを用意し、上にのせました。この仕上げで、私たちのお菓子はおいしそうで、とてもかわいくなりました！

Finally, we were done with preparing the snacks! Now, it was time for the craft. With this craft, we wanted to make a heart family! We had a big heart for the daddy, a medium heart for the mommy and a small heart for the kid! We drew arms, legs and a face! It looked really cute when we were finished.

White Owl and Red Fox wrote a poem and added more details for their parents to read. Everyone’s Valentine’s Day card look so adorable in the end and we were proud. We were excited to give it to our family and say I love you! 😊

ようやくスナックの準備が終わりました。さて、次はクラフトです。ハートの家族を作ります。パパには大きなハート、ママには中くらいのハート、子供には小さなハートを用意しました！手足と顔を描きました！出来上がると、とてもかわいくなりました。

White OwlとRed Foxは、両親に読んでもらうために詩を書いて、さらにくわしく書き加えました。みんなのバレンタイン・カードはとてもかわいらしく仕上がり、私たちも誇らしげでした。それを家族に渡して、「愛しているよ！」と言うのが楽しみです😊。
