明けましておめでとうございます。「プリ・クラス」の2026年は5日からスタート。休み明け、新年早々の朝の登園時にはママが恋しいお友だちもいましたが、数日も経つとすっかりみんな平常モード、みんな元気にクラスに戻ってきてくれました。

年末には「Christmas Assembly」を開催したり、冬休みホリデー・クラスを開催したりとみんなで楽しく過ごすことができたので、まずはホリデー・クラスの様子からお伝えします。今回のTopicは「Mission to The Moon」。各学齢にあわせて、年長クラスのお友だちは「宇宙飛行士」、年少クラスのお友だちは「宇宙（太陽・月・星）」を楽しく学んでいきましたよ。

Moon Class🌛 (Big Kids) The First Day

Hello and welcome to the first day of the Winter Holiday Class!

After the chilly weather this season, we were looking forward to a holiday class that would warm us up. We are talking about the Moon this time. And when it comes to the Moon, we like to think about how close it is compared to other things we can see in the sky.

In the story “Papa, please get the moon for me”, Monica wants her father to collect the Moon right out of the sky. And he does! For us though, reaching the Moon is a bit more complicated. It requires becoming an astronaut, among many other things. So, in order for us to warm up, this holiday class is all about Astronaut Training!

こんにちは。ウィンター・ホリデークラスの初日へようこそ！

今シーズンは肌寒いので、心も体も温まるホリデークラスを楽しみにしていました。今回は月についてお話します。月といえば、空に見える他のものと比べて、月がどれだけ近いのかを考えるのが好きです。

「Papa, please get the moon for me」というお話の中で、モニカはお父さんに空から月を拾ってきてほしいと願っています。そして、お父さんはそれを叶えてくれます。でも、私たちが月に行くのはちょっと複雑です。宇宙飛行士になるなど、他にもたくさんの条件があります。そこで、ウォーミングアップとして、今回のホリデークラスは宇宙飛行士訓練をテーマにしました。

We took our knowledge to the park with us as we went on our first mission! In the park, we started our physical training regimen by running a lap around the field over an obstacle course. Then, we learned the fundamentals of aerodynamics by throwing frisbees to each other! After some more playing, we headed back to base. We felt stronger and smarter already! (and a bit hungry)

After lunch, we discovered that everyone had passed their Orientation Training, and we could all make badges for our collection. You see, to pass our astronaut training, we would need to earn 5 badges over the next 5 days.

初めてのミッションに臨むにあたり、これまでの知識を公園に持ち込みました。公園では、まず障害物コースを一周走ることで体力トレーニングを始めました。その後、フリスビーを投げ合って空気力学の基礎を学びました。しばらく遊んだ後、基地へ戻りました。すでに体力と知力が向上したと実感しました。（そして少しお腹も空いていました）

昼食後、全員がオリエンテーション訓練に合格し、バッジをコレクションに加えられることが分かりました。宇宙飛行士訓練に合格するには、今後5日間でバッジを5つ獲得する必要があるのです。

Star Class 🌟 (Small Kids) About the Sun

Hello! It was a cloudy and rainy day today. Our kids were a bit sad that they can’t go to the park today. But the played inside and we called it CHES Park. It is our indoor playground. We had fun! We used the slide, the tunnel, the hoops and the balance beam.

For today, our topic was only about the sun. The Sun: The Sun is a big, bright ball in the sky. It gives us light and warmth. The Sun helps plants grow 🌱. We see the Sun in the daytime. The Sun helps keep Earth happy and warm 😊

こんにちは！今日は曇りで雨でした。子どもたちは公園に行けなくて少し悲しそうでした。でも家の中で遊び、それを「CHESパーク」と名付けました。私たちの屋内遊び場です。とても楽しかったです！滑り台、トンネル、輪投げ、平均台で遊びました。

今日のテーマは太陽でした。太陽：太陽は空にある大きくて明るい球体です。光と温かさを与えてくれます。太陽は植物の成長を助けます🌱。昼間に太陽を見ることができます。太陽は地球を幸せで温かく保つのに役立っています

Our short story for today: Sunny the Sun ☀️

Sunny the Sun wakes up in the sky.
He smiles and says, “Good morning!” He gives light to the Earth and warmth to everyone.
Flowers grow and birds sing.
At night, Sunny rests and says, “See you tomorrow!”

For tomorrow, we wish to see the sun. We want to go to the park. We want to run a lot!

本日の短いお話：太陽のサニー ☀️

太陽のサニーが空で目を覚まします。彼は笑顔で「おはよう！」と言います。
地球に光を、みんなに温もりを与えます。
花は咲き、鳥はさえずります。
夜になると、サニーは休みながら「また明日ね！」と言います。

明日は太陽に会いたいです。公園に行きたいです。たくさん走り回りたいです！

Star Class 🌟 (Small Kids) About the Moon and Stars

Our topics for today were about the moon and the stars. We made it simple to understand so they can enjoy!

The Moon is a big, round light in the night sky. It looks like it changes shape, but it’s always the same Moon. The Moon goes around the Earth. At night, the Moon helps light up the sky.

The Stars: Stars are tiny lights in the sky at night. They sparkle and shine. Stars are very, very far away. There are lots of stars! We have a short story here:

今日のテーマは月と星についてでした。子どもたちが楽しめるよう、わかりやすく説明しました。

月は夜空に浮かぶ大きな丸い光です。形が変わっているように見えますが、いつも同じ月です。月は地球の周りを回っています。夜になると、月は空を明るく照らしてくれます。

星について：星は夜空に輝く小さな光です。きらきらと輝いています。星はとても、とても遠くにあります。星はたくさんあります。ここで短いお話をご紹介します：

🌙 The Moon and the Little Stars ⭐

Once upon a time, the Moon climbed up into the night sky. “Hello!” said the Moon, shining bright.
One by one, the little stars popped out. They twinkled and smiled.
“Let’s light up the sky,” said the Moon.
“Yes!” said the stars. “Twinkle, twinkle!”
The Moon watched over the world below. The stars danced and sparkled.
“Good night,” whispered the Moon.
“Good night,” twinkled the stars.
And everyone slept peacefully under the glowing sky.

🌙月と小さな星たち ⭐

昔々、月が夜空に昇りました。「こんにちは！」と月が明るく輝きながら言いました。
小さな星たちが一つずつ現れました。きらきらと輝き、微笑みました。
「一緒に空を照らそう」と月が言いました。
「うん！」と星たちが答えました。「きらきら、きらきら！」
月は下の世界を見守りました。星たちは踊り、きらめきました。
「おやすみ」と月はささやきます。
「おやすみ」と星たちはきらめきます。
そして輝く空の下で、みんなは安らかに眠りました。

Moon Class🌛 (Big Kids) The Final Day

Today started as usual. We went down to get our spacesuits once again and prepared to hop on our spaceships for our final mission. After singing and dancing to our fun songs, we had a short discussion about what we enjoyed most during this holiday class.

Then, we quickly headed upstairs to talk about the last topic of the week and get ready for the day’s training. First, we talked about the history of the Moon and tried to understand where it came from 🤔 We then learned that scientists believe the Moon is actually a piece of the Earth!

It is believed that a very long time ago, another large planet crashed into the Earth, causing a huge piece, what we now call the Moon, to break away. Because of the Earth’s gravity, it began circling around our planet.

今日もいつも通り始まりました。再び宇宙服を受け取りに下へ降り、最後のミッションに向けて宇宙船に乗り込む準備をしました。楽しい歌に合わせて歌い踊った後、この休暇中の授業で一番楽しかったことについて短い話し合いをしました。

その後、急いで上階へ移動し、今週最後のトピックについて話し合い、その日の訓練の準備をしました。まず月の歴史について話し、その起源を探りました🤔 科学者たちは実は月が地球の一部だったと考えていることを学びました！

はるか昔、別の巨大な惑星が地球に衝突し、今私たちが月と呼ぶ巨大な破片が分離したとされています。地球の重力によって、それは私たちの惑星の周りを回り始めたのです。

We also learned that people have been interested in space for a very long time, and that it took a lot of effort to make space travel possible. We discussed the first spaceship and the first crew who traveled to the Moon.

After lunch, we continued working on everything we needed to finish for the day. We designed a flag to place on the Moon, just like real astronauts. After designing it, we pasted it onto our Moon drawing so that everything we worked on for this craft came together.

Then came the long-awaited moment, our popcorn party! The kids enjoyed it very much and asked for many refills 😁 It was a fun way to say goodbye.

また、人類が宇宙に長い間関心を持ち続けてきたこと、そして宇宙旅行を実現するには多大な努力が必要だったことも学びました。最初の宇宙船と月へ旅立った最初の乗組員について話し合いました。

昼食後は、その日に仕上げるべき作業を全て続けました。本物の宇宙飛行士のように、月面に掲げる旗をデザインしました。デザイン後、その旗を月の絵に貼り付け、この工作で取り組んだ全てをまとめました。

そして待ちに待った瞬間、ポップコーンパーティーの開始です。子どもたちは大喜びで、何度もおかわりをリクエストしました😁 楽しいお別れのパーティになりました。
