10月の最終日、「プリ・クラス」では、全員でハロウィンをお祝いしました。仮装して登園した子どもたちは、サークル・タイムがいつもとは違う感覚で始まったので少し緊張気味でしたが、やがてハロウィン・ゲームが始まると、みんな大はしゃぎ。その後、薄暗い各教室を勇気をしぼってめぐりながらの「Tric or Treat!」。無事、お菓子を手にいれるとみんな大満足の様子でした。

そして、Red FoxとWhite Owl（年中・年長）クラスの子どもたちには、さらに大きなサプライズがありました。10月のTopic「imagination」にちなんで作成していたオリジナル絵本「The Chocolate Adventure!」の製本を受け取ることができたのです。

この1か月、みんなの創造力を駆使、意見を出し合いながらストリーを考え、テキストを書き、絵を描いた総数56ページの大作です。自分たちでつくった絵本を手に取り各ページをめくりながら、こちらも大満足の様子でした。

Halloween Games and Crafts

We said goodbye to October with a big, fun Halloween party. It was such a wonderful day spent playing games and singing songs together with our friends.

We started the day with our usual circle time, but this time it was spookier than usual. We sang all the Halloween songs we had been learning throughout the week, filling the room with laughter and excitement.

After that, we enjoyed our lunch before the real fun began.

10月は、盛大で楽しいハロウィンパーティーで幕を閉じました。友だちとゲームをしたり歌を歌ったりして、本当に素敵な一日でした。

いつものサークルタイムから一日が始まりました。でも今回はいつもよりちょっと怖い感じです。今週ずっと覚えてきたハロウィン・ソングを全部歌って、部屋中が笑いと興奮でいっぱいになりました。

その後は、楽しい時間が始まる前に、ランチを楽しみました。

Following lunch, we went downstairs to play some Halloween games. First, we played the witch’s broomstick game. As the music played, we passed the broomstick around the circle. When the music stopped, whoever was holding the broomstick had to fly like a witch.

Some of the Yellow Kangaroos decided to use it as a regular broom to clean up, which was funny to watch😁

Next, we played Halloween Bowling. We rolled the ball to knock down the monster bottles. Working as a team helped us defeat the monsters quickly and easily.

昼食後、階下へ降りてハロウィン・ゲームをしました。まずは「魔女のほうきゲーム】をしました。音楽に合わせて、ほうきを輪の周りで回します。音楽が止まったら、ほうきを持っている人は魔女のように空を飛ばなければなりません。

Yellow Kangarooのなかには、ほうきを普通のほうきとして使って掃除をする子もいて、見ているだけで面白かったです😁

次に、ハロウィン・ボウリングをしました。ボールを転がしてモンスターのボトルを倒します。チームで協力することで、モンスターを素早く簡単に倒すことができました。

Trick or Treat!

After spending some time playing together, we headed upstairs for the most exciting part; trick or treating.

It was dark, but we were brave! Well, at least at first😁 Not knowing what was behind each door made it a little spooky, but that’s what Halloween is all about.

Once we collected our treats, any fear quickly turned into joy and lots of smiles.

We spent the whole week celebrating Halloween. Talking, creating, and playing in many fun ways. Thank you for joining us in all the spooky fun.

しばらくみんなで遊んだ後、一番楽しい時間、トリック・オア・トリートのために2階へ向かいました。

暗かったけど、勇気を振り絞りました！ 少なくとも最初は😁 ドアの向こうになにがあるのかわからないので、少し怖かったのですが、それがハロウィンの醍醐味です。

お菓子を集めたら、どんな恐怖もすぐに喜びとたくさんの笑顔に変わりました。

私たちは1週間ずっとハロウィンを祝いました。おしゃべりしたり、なにかを作ったり、色々な楽しい遊びをしました。この不気味なイベントに参加してくれてありがとうございました。

Our very Own Story!

Halloween was fun, but it wasn’t the only treat we（Red Fox and White Owl） got today.

Our very own production team, had been working hard on processing all the storybook pages that we had given them earlier in the week. In just a couple days, they had done it. Our very own story, bound and in print! We were excited to see it and hold it in our hands.

ハロウィンは楽しかったのですが、今日私たちRed FoxとWhite Owlクラスのお楽しみはそれだけではありませんでした。

私たちの制作チームは、今週初めに渡したストーリー・ブックのページを一生懸命処理してくれていました。そして、わずか数日で、ついに完成しました。私たちだけのストーリーが、製本され、印刷されたのです！ それを手に取って見るのが待ちきれませんでした。

It is a Good Memory

Four weeks of brainstorming, voting and arguments, design, and hard work writing and drawing had resulted in this. We were very pleased with how it turned out!

Everyone could find the pages they worked hard on and remembered the partners they teamed up with. It is a good memory of their time at CHES, as well as a good sign that no matter who you are, everyone has a powerful imagination that they can use.

As we say goodbye to October, we are thinking about what comes next. November will be another interesting month, and we have plenty to think about for the end of the year too.

4週間にわたるブレインストーミング、投票と議論、デザイン、そして執筆と描画の努力の末、この成果が生まれました。みんなその出来栄えに大変満足です！

誰もが自分が一生懸命取り組んだページを見つけ、一緒にチームを組んだパートナーのことを思い出しました。これはCHESで過ごした時間の良い思い出であると同時に、誰であっても、力強い想像力を持ち、それを活かすことができるという良いきざしです。

10月が終わりに近づき、私たちはこれからのことを考えています。11月もまた興味深い月になりそう、年末に向けて考えることはたくさんあります。
