先週から新学期が始まった「プリ・クラス」では、さっそくBlue Bird（年少学齢）以上のみんなで、お花見ピクニックに出かけました。残念ながら、まだサクラは満開とは言えない状況でしたが、進級後の初の園外活動とあって、みんな大はしゃぎで楽しそうでした。

Yellow Kangaroo（年少学齢以下）も早く園活動に慣れて、みんな一緒に参加できる日を楽しみにしています。

今年度も、英語で楽しく遊んで、学んで、成長していきましょうね

Our first week back at CHES

We were lucky to have a warm and sunny day today. We had worked hard during our first week back at CHES. As a reward, we travelled to Koketani Park to view the cherry blossoms and enjoy the sun!

In the morning, we talked about spring and what happens to trees and plants. The weather begins to change and temperatures begin to rise. Little by little, buds appear on branches. And for a short time, we can see those bud’s bloom! The blooming buds are called blossoms.

Hm, that’s a lot of “b” words. Can you remember them all?

今日は幸運にも暖かく晴れた一日でした。CHESに戻って新学期最初の1週間、私たちはよく頑張りました。そのご褒美として、桜を見たり、日光浴を楽しんだりするために、苔谷公園まで出かけることにました。

午前中、春について、そして木や植物に何が起こるかについて話しました。気候が変わり始め、気温も上がり始めます。少しずつ枝に芽が現れます。そして少しの間、そのつぼみが花を咲かせるのを見ることができる。開花したつぼみはブロッサムと呼ばれます。

うーん、「b 」がたくさん出てきましたね。全部覚えられますか？

Flower Relay!

The park was full of other people enjoying the day as well, but that didn’t stop us. We found a good place to pose under the trees.

We looked closely at the branches. We could see some trees covered in buds, and others mostly blooming. The trees ranged from white to dark pink. It really made us feel like spring was here.

After that, we found a good place to play some games.

First was our flower relay! We took turns running from one side to another, gathering pieces of a flower. The first team to complete their flower correctly was the winner! After that, it was free time. We enjoyed playing with the ball, horizontal bars, and each other. Some students continued playing flower relay during free time, too.

公園には、この日を楽しんでいる人たちでいっぱいでしたが、私たちは止まりませんでした。木の下で写真をとるのにいい場所を見つけました。

枝をよく見ると、つぼみで覆われている木もあれば、ほとんど花が咲いている木もありました。花は白から濃いピンクまでさまざまでした。本当に春が来たと感じました。

その後、ゲームをするのにぴったりの場所を見つけました。

最初はフラワー・リレー。私たちは交代で公園の片側から反対側まで走り、花のかけらを集めました。最初に花を正しく完成させたチームが勝者です。その後は自由時間。ボールや鉄棒で遊んだり、お互いに遊んだりして楽しみました。自由時間中もフラワー・リレーを続ける生徒もいました。

Finally, it was time to eat!

Everyone had done a good job bringing picnic lunches, and we did our best to eat on our own. It was nice and relaxing in the warm sun and cool breeze. What a nice day!

ようやくお弁当の時間です。みんながピクニックランチを上手に持参してくれたので、自分で食べるように最善を尽くしました。 暖かい太陽と涼しい風の中で、心地よくリラックスできました。 なんて素敵な日でしょう！

Here’s to another great year at CHES!

This concludes our first week of CHES this year.

I was proud of how well Red Fox and White Owl acted and how well they can listen to their teacher. I think Blue Bird will be lucky to have good role models going forward.

Blue Bird did a great job eating nicely and staying active despite spending the whole day in the park. Altogether, it was a successful picnic!

これで今年の CHES の最初の週は終わりました。Red FoxとWhite Owlの行動は素晴らしく、先生の言うことをよく聞いていることを誇りに思います。Blue Birdは今後、良いロール モデルに出会えて幸運だと思います。

Blue Birdは公園で 1 日中過ごしたにもかかわらず、おいしく食べて活動的に過ごしました。全体として、成功したピクニックでした。

CHES でまた素晴らしい1年を過ごしましょう。
