先週から「お仕事：レストラン開店準備🍰」でもお知らせしていた「CHES Bazaar」が、2月のToipc「お仕事」の締めくくりとして、いよいよオープンしました！

オープンすると、お客さまである年少・年中学齢の子どもたちに 自分たちのお店の商品をすぐさま大声で宣伝。もう「presentation」を大きく超えた「寄ってらっしゃい、見てらっしゃい！」の様相です💦

この様子を英語ではどのように表現するのかMr. Seanにたずねたところ、あえて言うのであれば「call outかな」。ただ、続けて「カナダでこれをすると、逆にお店が怪しまれるかも…」と、笑いながら答えてくれました。

プランニングから商品開発、そして販売までを疑似体験できた「プリ・クラス」全員を巻き込んでの「CHES Bazaar」は、学びと遊びが一体となった特別な時間となりました。このような体験を通じて、これからもCHESは、子どもたちの成長をサポートしていきますね。

Shopping at CHES Bazaar!💴🍨

Starting from last week, Red Fox and White Owl have been hard at work preparing for today! In order to let Blue Bird and Yellow Kangaroo have a fun shopping day, there were a lot of things to think about and do. Of course, Red Fox and White Owl would be shopping too! We can’t forget about that.

From last week, we began by discussing the theme of the bazaar and what might be popular to sell. Because of last year’s dessert shop selling a lot, we decided to make this year’s bazaar into a food court! Every shop was to sell different kinds of food. We needed to think about what would be popular as well as what wouldn’t compete too much with the other shops.

Red FoxとWhite Owlクラスのみんなは今日のために先週から一生懸命準備をしてきました。Blue BirdとYellow Kangarooクラスのお友だちが楽しいバザーを過ごせるように考え、準備することがたくさんあったのです。もちろん、Red FoxとWhite Owlクラスのみんなもショッピングをします。そのことも忘れてはいけません。

先週は、バザーのテーマと、なにを売るのが人気になるかについて話し合うことから始めました。昨年、デザートショップの売り上げが多かったので、今年のバザーはフードコートにすることにしました。各ショップで異なる種類の食べ物を売ることにしたのです。なにが人気になるのか、そして他のショップとあまり競合しないものについて考える必要がありました。

After brainstorming and making teams, we had:

1. An ice cream shop🍨 (with fruit tea and cream)
2. A hamburger shop🍔 (with usual sides, and coffee)
3. A bubble tea shop🧋 (with parfaits)
4. A snacks shop🍩 (selling donuts, candy, and more)
5. A waffle shop🧇 (with fried chicken and tea!).

There were lots of yummy choices.

ブレインストーミングとチーム分けの後、私たちは次のチームを作りました：

1. アイスクリームショップ🍨（フルーツティーとクリーム付き）
2. ハンバーガーショップ🍔（通常のサイドディッシュとコーヒー付き）
3. バブルティーショップ🧋（パフェ付き）
4. スナックショップ🍩（ドーナツ、キャンディーなどを販売）
5. ワッフルショップ🧇（フライドチキンと紅茶付き！）

おいしい選択肢がたくさんあります。

It was time!

There were plenty of things to think about while preparing. We needed to use teamwork to prepare posters, menus, and of course, the food itself. We went through quality assurance to make sure the food was bright, clean, and the edges were not sharp.

We needed to think about the amount to prepare, to make sure we had enough for everyone. We prepared bags and nametags to wrap everything in.

We made a schedule and invited other classes to join us. We even advertised our shops a day before the big sale! We made sure to have shopping assistants available for all the younger kids who wanted to join.

After all that work, it was time!

準備中に考えなければならないことがたくさんありました。ポスター、メニュー、そしてもちろん食べ物そのものを準備するためにチームワークを使う必要がありました。食べ物が明るく、きれいで、端が鋭くない品質保証も確認しました。

全員に十分な量があるように、準備する量を考える必要がありました。すべてを包むための袋と名札を用意しました。

スケジュールを立て、他のクラスにも参加を呼びかけました。バザーの前日にお店の宣伝もしました。参加したい小さな子供たちのために、買い物アシスタントを用意しました。

すべての作業が終わったら、いよいよ開店の時です！

We set up our stands and welcomed the shoppers as we opened the door. Firstly, we needed spending money. We took our credit cards to the CHES bank to withdraw some money, and lend it to our friends. With bills in hand, it was time to shop!

There were many voices of different shop owners calling out to the shoppers to visit their shop. Did you want something sweet? Something salty? A bit of both? We needed to use our money wisely and fairly to get something for everyone.

私たちは屋台を設営し、ドアを開けると買い物客を迎え入れました。まず、お金が必要でした。クレジットカードを持ってCHES銀行に行き、お金を引き出して友だちに渡します。お札を手にしたら、買い物の時間です！

さまざまな店主が買い物客に店に来るように呼びかける声が聞こえてきました。甘いものが欲しいですか？ 塩辛いものが欲しいですか？ 両方欲しいですか？ みんなのためになにかを手に入れるには、お金を賢く公平に使う必要がありました。

Thank you to Blue Bird and Yellow Kangaroo for joining! Did you have fun shopping? And Red Fox and White Owl, did you have fun running a shop?

There was a lot to think about. In the end, some shops lost money because they didn’t take the correct bills. Deal with money is a lot of work!

Recently, I have heard many students say how they want to become an adult soon so they can do all the fun and interesting jobs that we talk about. But I have to remind them that it’s a lot of work, too. Let’s enjoy being a kid while we can.

Even though we bought many sweets and junk food today, they were just pictures. Make sure to eat healthy when you go buy the real thing!

考えることがたくさんありました。結局、正しい紙幣を受け取らなかったために、いくつかのお店は赤字になってしまいました。お金を扱うのは大変な仕事です！

最近、多くの生徒が、早く大人になって、私たちが話している楽しい面白い仕事をしたいと言っているのを聞きました。でも、それは大変な仕事でもあることも知ってもらいたいのです。子どもでいられるうちに子どもでいることを楽しみましょう。

今日はお菓子やジャンクフードをたくさん買いましたが、それは写真に過ぎません。本物を買うときは、健康的な食事をしてくださいね😙
