「プリ・クラス」では、3月3日にひな祭りを楽しみました。ひな祭りの由来については、さまざまな説があるようですが、CHESの子どもたちにとっては、なんといっても「ちらし寿司」の日。みんなで作ってお腹いっぱいの大満足の一日でした😝

Hina-Matsuri Day! – Chirashi Sushi

Today was one of those special days that we will remember. We had the chance to enjoy some delicious food and celebrate a meaningful tradition. Every year, on the 3rd of March, we celebrate Hina-Matsuri, also known as Girls’ Day or the Doll Festival in Japan. This day is dedicated to wishing young girls good health and happiness.

Today, we took the opportunity to learn about the traditions of this special day. We also prepared and enjoyed a delicious meal together. One of the most popular foods for Hina-Matsuri is Chirashi Sushi, a type of sushi bowl with a variety of fresh ingredients put on top.

今日は私たちにとって忘れられない特別な日でした。おいしい料理を楽しみ、意味深い伝統を祝う機会がありました。毎年3月3日は、日本では女の子の日または人形祭りとして知られているひな祭りを祝います。この日は、女の子の健康と幸せを祈る日です。

今日は、この特別な日の伝統について学ぶ機会を得ました。一緒においしい食事も用意し楽しみました。ひな祭りで最もポピュラーな食事は、さまざまな新鮮な食材を上に載せたお寿司のひとつであるちらし寿司です。

We all gathered together in the big room before getting started with the preparations. Ms. Masami introduced us the ingredients, and we also had a chance to discuss the different types of sushi. We talked about maki sushi, nigiri sushi, and, of course, Chirashi Sushi, which we were going to make today.

Ms. Masami explained each ingredient we would be using and showed us the proper way to prepare them. It took some time and effort, but we all worked together like professional chefs to make sure everything looked just right!

In the end, the result was amazing! The sushi turned out beautifully, and we couldn’t stop asking for more😂 Everyone seemed really satisfied with the effort we put in, and it was such a rewarding experience to enjoy the delicious outcome of our hard work.

準備を始める前に、みんなでBig Roomに集まりました。Ms. Masamiが材料を紹介してくれて、寿司の種類について話し合う機会もありました。巻き寿司、にぎり寿司、そしてもちろん、今日つくるちらし寿司について話しました。

Ms. Masamiは、使用する材料を1つひとつ説明し、正しい調理法を見せてくれました。時間と労力はかかりましたが、プロのシェフのようにみんなで協力して、すべてが完璧に見えるようにしました！

最終的には、結果は素晴らしかったです。寿司は美しく仕上がり、私たちはもっと食べたいとせがむのをやめられませんでした😂 みんながこれまでの努力にとても満足しているようで、一生懸命につくったおいしい結果を味わうことができて、とてもやりがいのある経験でした。

Yellow Kangaroo Class

We pray for the healthy growth and happiness of the girls and also the boys. We wish everyone happiness always. We made our crafts: the Odairi Sama and the Ohina Sama. They were so cute. Do you have Hina dolls at home? Some of them said ‘We have!’

And for our delicious lunch, we had our Chirashizushi – a dish of vinegared rice with scattered ingredients, topped with special ingredients for good fortune.

女の子も男の子も健やかな成長と幸せを祈ります。みんながいつも幸せでいられるよう願っています。私たちはお内裏様とおひな様を作りました。とてもかわいかったです。皆さんのお家にはお雛様がありますか？「うちにあるよ！」と言う子もいました。

そしておいしい昼食にはちらし寿司を食べました。ちらし寿司は、酢飯に具材を散らし、その上に縁起のいい特別な具材をのせた料理です。
