「プリ・クラス」の年少学齢以下のYellow KangarooとBlue Bordクラスでは、CHESで初めてバレンタインをお祝いする子どもたちも多く、もう「チョコレート」というだけで大はしゃぎ。でも先生からバレンタインの話を聞き、しっかり手順を守りながら作業する様子は真剣そのもの。満足のいく「Chocolate Pops」ができあがりました👍

ただ、大切な人へのプレゼントのための「Chocolate Pops」だったはずなのですが、はたしてちゃんとお渡しすることができたのか…？満足そうにぎゅっと握りしめて降園していく様子をみている限り、少し不安です💦

I wish everyone a happy Valentine’s Day! I hope you’re all doing great. Valentine’s Day is celebrated to show our loved ones how much we care about them. There are many ways to do this, but we decided to make something special: Valentine’s Day chocolate!

First, we used a special plastic bag to put some chocolate chunks in. We melted the chocolate in the bag and used it the same way we would use whipped cream. We boiled some water in a bowl and then placed the plastic bag with the chocolate chunks into the hot water, waiting for it to melt.

みなさんも幸せなバレンタインデーをお過ごしください！みなさんがお元気でお過ごしのことを願っています。バレンタインデーは、愛する人たちに私たちがどれほど彼らを大切に思っているかを示すために祝われます。いろいろな方法がありますが、私たちは特別なもの、バレンタインデーのチョコレートを作ることにしました。

まず、専用のビニール袋にチョコレートチャンクを入れ、袋の中でチョコレートを溶かし、生クリームと同じように使います。ボウルに湯を沸かし、チョコレートチャンクの入ったビニール袋をお湯の中に入れ、溶けるのを待ちました。

While we were waiting, we decided to make the process more fun by singing a song! Can you guess which one we chose? It was the “Skidamarink I Love You” song! We thought it fit perfectly with the theme.

After singing it three times, the chocolate was finally melted! 😂Then, we were ready to fill the chocolate molds.

We cut the edge of the plastic bag and started pouring the melted chocolate into the molds. Finally, we added sticks and crushed some cereal to make the chocolates crunchy and fun!

We also decided to prepare a craft for our chocolate. We cut out some hearts and decorated them with more hearts! We added ribbons as well to make them even cuter. We colored some special Valentine’s Day paper to put everything together. Everyone did their best to color the paper nicely.

待っている間、歌を歌ってプロセスをもっと楽しくすることにしました！私たちがどれを選んだかわかりますか? 「Skidamarink I Love You」という曲でした。テーマにぴったりだと思いました。

3回歌ってやっとチョコレートが溶けました！ 😂それから、チョコレートの型に詰める準備が整いました。ビニール袋の端を切り、溶かしたチョコレートを型に流し込み始めました。最後に、スティックを加えてシリアルを砕いて、ザクザクとした楽しいチョコレートを作りました。

チョコレート用の工作も用意することにしました。ハートをいくつか切り取って、さらにハートを飾りました！リボンも付けてさらに可愛く仕上げました。バレンタインデーの特別な紙に色を付けて、すべてをまとめました。みんな頑張って色紙をきれいに塗っていました。

Other than our Valentine’s Day crafts, we continue to focus on our monthly topic. We are learning about jobs and what people do in their professions. During circle time, we play games about jobs and talk about them in general.

Then, we dive deeper during class time by completing activities. This week, we did roleplays about jobs in groups, paired tools with the jobs they belong to, and kept discussing what we want to be when we grow up. I’m curious if anyone will change their mind at the end of the month after we learn more about each job.

バレンタインデーのクラフト以外にも、毎月のトピックに引き続き焦点を当てています。私たちは仕事について、そして人々がその職業で何をしているのかについて学んでいます。サークルタイムでは、仕事に関するゲームをしたり、仕事全般について話したりします。

その後、授業中にアクティビティを完了することでさらに深く掘り下げていきます。今週、私たちはグループで仕事についてのロールプレイを行い、ツールと彼らが属する仕事を組み合わせ、大人になったら何になりたいかについて話し合い続けました。それぞれの仕事についてもっと詳しく知った後、月末に考えを変える生徒がいるかどうか興味があります。

Yellow Kangaroo Class

Today we had an excellent day because we prepared for Valentine’s Day tomorrow.

We had chocolate melting, chocolate molding and chocolate smelling. We saw how chocolate bars melted with the use of hot water and boil it. We had the chance to smashed the cereals too. It was satisfying!

Right now, all the molded chocolates are in the fridge. We are very excited for tomorrow.
