水遊びをしながらCHES「プリ・クラス」の子どもたちは、お友だち同士で「遊ぶ」体験を共有する充実した素敵な時間となりました。

限られた水遊びの道具を使ってお友だちと協力したり、水に触れおもちゃで遊んだりしながら、新しい発見や言葉を学ぶことで子どもたちの好奇心や探求心が刺激されていく様子は、こうした野外での活動の重要性を改めて認識する良い時間にもなりました。

これからも「プリ・クラス」では、ワクワクするような楽しい活動が盛りだくさん。暑さにも負けず、みんなで楽しんでいこうね。

A Splashing Day of Fun!

Today was a very special and fun-filled day for Yellow Kangaroo children! The excitement was written all over their faces as they eagerly waited for our waterplay activity.

Once we headed outside, the fun began! The children happily splashed, poured, scooped, and explored the water together. They enjoyed using their buckets, nets, and toy fish as they created their own little underwater adventures in the pool.

今日は、Yellow Kangarooクラス（年少学齢未満）の子どもたちにとってとても特別で、楽しさに満ちた一日でした。 水遊びの時間を心待ちにする子どもたちの顔には、ワクワクした表情がはっきりと表れていました。

外に出ると、いよいよ楽しい時間が始まります。子どもたちは、一緒に水をはねさせたり、注いだり、すくったりしながら、水遊びを満喫しました。バケツや網、おもちゃの魚を使って、プールの中で自分たちだけの小さな水中冒険を楽しみました。

There were plenty of big smiles, happy giggles, and joyful splashes as the children soaked themselves in the cool water and enjoyed the feeling of water all around them.

It was wonderful to see them learning, exploring, sharing, and simply having fun together. Today was more than just waterplay—it was a chance to make beautiful memories, enjoy the outdoors, and experience the simple joy of childhood.

One thing is for sure: this is a waterplay day they will remember for a long time!

子どもたちは冷たい水にびしょ濡れになり、全身を包み込む水の感触を楽しみながら、満面の笑顔や嬉しそうな笑い声、そして楽しげな水しぶきをたくさん見せてくれました。

子どもたちが一緒に学び、探求し、分かち合い、ただ純粋に楽しんでいる姿を見られて、本当に素晴らしいひとときでした。今日は単なる水遊びにとどまらず、美しい思い出を作り、屋外での時間を楽しみ、子どもならではの素朴な喜びを体験する機会となりました。

一つ確かなことは、この水遊びの日は、子どもたちが長く記憶に残る一日になるということです。

Water Wonders: Learning Through Play

Today Blue Bird kids had lots of fun discovering that water play could be exciting even when we didn’t dip our whole bodies into the water! Through hands-on activities, the children had opportunities to pour, scoop, squeeze, drip, splash, and experiment while staying mostly dry.

Water provided a wonderful opportunity for the children to explore the world around them. As they played, they noticed how water moved, what happened when different objects were placed in water, and how different tools could be used to control and move it.

These experiences encouraged the children to make predictions, try new ideas, and learn through their own discoveries.

「水の不思議・遊びを通して学ぶ」：今日、Blue Birdクラス（年少学齢）の子どもたちは、全身を水に浸さなくても、水遊びがこんなに楽しいものだと気づき、大いに楽しみました。体験型の活動を通じて、子どもたちはほとんど体を濡らすことなく、水を注いだり、すくったり、絞ったり、垂らしたり、はねさせたり、さまざまな実験をしたりする機会を得ました。

水は、子どもたちが身の回りの世界を探求するための素晴らしい機会となりましす。遊びながら、子どもたちは水がどのように動くか、さまざまな物を水に入れるとどうなるか、そしてどのような道具を使えば水をコントロールしたり動かしたりできるかに気づきました。

こうした経験を通じて、子どもたちは予測を立てたり、新しいアイデアを試したり、自分自身の発見を通じて学ぶことが促されます。

Scoop, Pour, and Transfer

The children used cups, bowls, spoons, funnels, and small containers to scoop and transfer water from one place to another. They noticed that some containers held more water than others and practiced using words such as full, empty, more, less, heavy, and light.

Pouring also gave the children opportunities to practice their hand control and coordination. They concentrated on directing the water into containers and adjusted their movements when water spilled.

「すくう、注ぐ、移す」：子どもたちは、コップ、ボウル、スプーン、漏斗、小さな容器を使って、水をすくい上げ、ある場所から別の場所へ移しました。ある容器は他の容器よりも多くの水を入れられることに気づき、「いっぱい」「空」「多い」「少ない」「重い」「軽い」といった言葉を使う練習をしました。

また、水を注ぐ作業を通じて、子どもたちは手の動きのコントロールや協調性を養う機会を得ました。子どもたちは、水を容器にうまく注ぐことに集中し、水がこぼれたときは動きを調整していました。

Float or Sink?

The children explored which objects floated and which objects sank. Before placing an object into the water, they made guesses about what might happen. They tested their ideas one by one and observed the results. The children were often surprised when an object behaved differently from what they had expected.

They talked about their observations and shared their ideas with their friends.

「浮く？沈む？」：子どもたちは、どの物が浮き、どの物が沈むかを調べました。物を水に入れる前に、どうなるか予想を立てました。予想を一つずつ試してみて、その結果を観察しました。物が予想とは違った動きをすると、子どもたちはよく驚いていました。

子どもたちは、自分の観察結果について話し合い、友だちと意見を交換しました。

Learning Through Water Play

Although the children did not dip themselves into the water, they still enjoyed many wonderful sensory and learning experiences. They explored water using different tools and materials while developing their fine-motor skills, hand-eye coordination, language, early mathematical understanding, problem-solving skills, and scientific thinking.

Throughout the activities, the children talked about what they saw, described what they were doing, made predictions, and shared their discoveries with one another.

It was wonderful to see how engaged and curious the children were as they explored water in different ways. They showed great concentration, enthusiasm, and creativity throughout the activities.

「水遊びを通じた学び」：子どもたちは水に浸かることはありませんでしたが、それでも多くの素晴らしい感覚体験や学びの体験を楽しみました。さまざまな道具や素材を使って水を探索しながら、ファインモータースキル（手や指の小さな筋肉を使って行う動作能力）、手と目の協調性、言語能力、初期の数学的理解、問題解決能力、そして科学的思考力を育んでいきました。

活動を通して、子どもたちは自分の見たものについて話し、自分の行動を説明し、予測を立て、発見したことを互いに共有しました。

子どもたちがさまざまな方法で水を探求する姿は、とても熱心で好奇心にあふれており、見ているだけで素晴らしいものでした。活動全体を通して、子どもたちは高い集中力、熱意、そして創造性を発揮していました。
