五月晴れの気持ちの良い天気のなか、「プリ・クラス」では年少未満のYellow Kangarooクラスから年長学齢のWhite Owlクラスまで全員で「ピクニック練習」にお出かけしました。

「プリ・クラス」は年間行事が多く、しかも園外でのお弁当も珍しくありません。その際、イスに座ってランチを食べられる場所ばかりではないので、マットに座ってランチボックスをテキパキ開き上手に素早く食べていく必要に迫られます。

保護の者の方々には、少しお手間をかけるかもしれませんが、子どもたちのために食べやすい「ピクニック・ランチ」をご用意していただき本当にありがとうございます。子どもたちはみんなで食べる「ピクニック・ランチ」をとても楽しみにしています。これからもご協力よろしくお願いします。

5月は穏やかにピクニックを楽しめる絶好の季節。これからも数回、みんなで「ピクニック練習」を楽しみたいと思います。

A Perfect Day for the Park🌤️

Since May is “all about us”, we started talking about what makes us unique.

Some friends have brothers. Some have sisters. Some don’t have either. Some prefer apples and some prefer oranges. Some are good at drawing and some are good at writing. Some want to be a mommy or daddy, and some want to be a police officer or firefighter.

We all have unique traits, and we all have things that bring us together too. We are who we are!

5月は「私たち自身」をテーマにした月なので、私たちは自分たちの個性について話し始めました。

兄弟がいる友だちもいれば、姉妹がいる友だちもいます。兄弟もいない友だちもいます。リンゴが好きな友だちもいれば、オレンジが好きな友だちもいます。絵を描くのが得意な友だちもいれば、文章を書くのが得意な友だちもいます。将来、お母さんやお父さんになりたい人もいれば、警察官や消防士になりたい人もいます。

私たちはみんな、それぞれ個性的な特徴を持っていますが、同時に、私たちを結びつけるものも持っています。私たちは、ありのままの私たちなのです。

We also started talking about action words (verbs). The best way to describe what we are good at or what we like doing is to learn many action words! We can say it like this: “I like to swim.” Or, we can say it like this: “I’m good at swimming.”

We can learn action words in a few different ways.

私たちは動作を表す言葉（動詞）についても話し始めました。自分が得意なことや好きなことを表現する一番良い方法は、たくさんの動作を表す言葉を覚えることです。例えば、「私は泳ぐのが好きです。」とか、「私は泳ぐのが得意です」のように言うことができます。

動作を表す言葉は、いくつかの方法で学ぶことができます。

On top of all this, we had a special day in store today. We were going to the park for a picnic! The weather was perfect: sunny and bright, but with some small clouds to keep us a bit cool.

We hiked over to Koketani Park and enjoyed most of our day there. We played games, blew bubbles, did exercise, and relaxed in the shade when it was time to cool down. Everyone did well to prepare their mats and eat nicely.

Next week, we will have another picnic day while we still can. Soon, the hot sun and buzzing mosquitos might make it difficult. But for now, it really is perfect!

さらに、今日は特別な一日でした。公園へピクニックに行く予定だったのです。天気は最高で、太陽が燦々と輝き、ところどころに小さな雲がかかっていて、少し涼しく過ごせました。

私たちは苔谷公園までハイキングし、そこで一日中楽しく過ごしました。ゲームをしたり、シャボン玉を飛ばしたり、体を動かしたり、涼む時間には木陰でくつろいだりしました。みんなきちんとマットを敷いて、きちんと食事をしました。

来週も、今のうちにピクニックをする予定です。もうすぐ、強い日差しと蚊のせいで難しくなるかもしれません。でも、今は本当に最高の天気です！

Picnic Lunch at the Big Park

Our children had a wonderful time at the Big Park during playtime and picnic lunch. From running around the open field to laughing and playing games with their friends, the park was filled with happy smiles and endless energy.

During picnic lunch, the children enjoyed eating together while chatting and sharing special moments with their friends. Hearing their laughter and seeing their happy faces made our hearts so full.

子どもたちは、遊び時間とピクニックランチで、Big Parkで素晴らしい時間を過ごしました。広々とした芝生を走り回ったり、友だちと笑い合ったりゲームをしたりと、公園は笑顔と元気いっぱいのエネルギーに満ち溢れていました。

ピクニックランチでは、子どもたちは友だちとおしゃべりをしながら、楽しいひとときを分かち合い、一緒に食事を楽しみました。子どもたちの笑い声と幸せそうな顔を見ていると、私たちの心も温かくなりました。

In the afternoon, we gathered for a special story time about the life cycle of a butterfly. The children were fascinated to learn how a tiny caterpillar transforms into a beautiful butterfly.

Their eyes lit up with amazement as they listened to the story and discovered the wonders of nature. We are so happy to see our children feeling joyful, confident, and excited every day. Watching them learn, play, and grow together is truly a special experience.

午後は、蝶のライフサイクルについての特別な読み聞かせ会を行いました。子どもたちは、小さな毛虫が美しい蝶へと変身する様子に、目を輝かせていました。

物語を聞きながら、自然の不思議を発見する子どもたちの目は、驚きと喜びで輝いていました。子どもたちが毎日、喜びと自信に満ち溢れ、ワクワクした気持ちで過ごしている姿を見るのは、私たちにとって大きな喜びです。子どもたちが共に学び、遊び、成長していく姿を見守ることは、本当に特別な経験です。
