そろそろ初夏の日差しを感じる季節になり、「プリ・クラス」では各クラスで植え付けを始めることにしました。

年中学齢以下の子どもたちは、植物を育てるためにはなにが必要なのかを学んだ後、まだ幼い手で小さな種を一生懸命ポットに植えていくことができました。恒例の「CHES Little Hands Bazar」が開催される頃には、きっときれいな花が咲いていることでしょう。

年長学齢の子どもたちは、CHES Gardenにはいり手慣れた様子で夏野菜の苗を順番にスイカ・キュウリ・ミニトマトと、植えていくことに。夏の日差しのなかたくさんの収穫できることが、もういまから楽しみです。

A Wonderful Day of Learning and Growing!

Today was full of smiles, discovery, and little achievements! During our circle time, the Yellow Kangaroo children practiced counting from 1 to 10.

They did such a great job pointing, counting, and saying the numbers together! We also explored the letter D, learning its sound duh, duh, duh! The children happily practiced saying words like duck and dog, filling the room with cheerful voices.

今日は笑顔と発見、そして小さな達成感に満ちた一日でした。サークルタイムでは、Yellow Kangaroo（年少学齢未満）クラスの子どもたちは1から10まで数える練習をしました。

指差し、数え、そして一緒に数字を言うのがとても上手でした。また、文字「D」の発音「ダ、ダ、ダ」も学びました。子どもたちは「アヒル」や「犬」などの単語を楽しそうに練習し、部屋は明るい声で満たされました。

Highlight of the Day+ Planting Time

The most special moment today was our planting activity. Each child received their own pot and carefully planted their seeds. Tiny hands worked so gently, showing care and wonder.

It was truly a beautiful moment watching them learn how to take care of something and seeing their excitement grow – just like their plants. We look forward to watching their little plants grow day by day!

今日一番特別な瞬間は、植え付け活動でした。子どもたちはそれぞれ自分の鉢を受け取り、丁寧に種を植えました。小さな手が優しく、愛情と好奇心にあふれて作業していました。

子どもたちが何かを大切に育てることを学び、植物のように喜びが増していく様子を見るのは、本当に美しい瞬間でした。小さな植物たちが日々成長していくのが、今からとても楽しみです！

It was really a good day to plant

It was cloudy in the morning yet the sun came up in the afternoon. It was really a good day to plant. Blue Bird children are learning that the plant needs sun, air and wind.

We talked about many flowers in and out of the house. We can plant many in our garden – small or big. We can also share our plants to others by doing the Little Hands Bazaar in the future.

As for preparation, all the kids planted different flowers such as sunflowers, marigold, and beautiful flowers. We also have a special one this time and it is called coriander. Let’s look forward to growing part and watering plants.

午前中は曇り空でしたが、午後には太陽が昇りました。まさに植え付け日和でした。Blue Bird（年少学齢）クラスの子どもたちは、植物には太陽、空気、風が必要だということを学びました。

家の中や外にあるたくさんの花について話し合いました。庭には大小さまざまな花を植えることができます。次回の「Little Hands Bazaar」を開催して、育てた植物を他の人たちと分け合うこともできます。

準備として、子どもたちはヒマワリ、マリーゴールド、その他美しい花など、それぞれ違う花を植えました。今回は特別な花、コリアンダーも植えました。植物が育って水やりをするのが楽しみです。

What are we planting in the garden?

White Owl had a few spare minutes today while Red Fox was in pianica class. Since everyone in White Owl are big kids now, it was their chance to try planting some vegetables and fruits in CHES garden!

We gathered our shoes and put on our smocks. Mr. Tai had prepared the soil and seedlings. We took a little tour and watched how to plant them nicely. It was interesting to notice the differences between the plants.

The leaves were different shapes, for example. The stem of the cucumber plants were a little spiky, like the cucumbers themselves. In addition, we planted tomato and watermelon plants too.

Hopefully, with good care and weather, we can have a good harvest this year. Good work, gardeners!

今日はRed Foxクラスの子どもたちがピアニカの授業を受けている間、White Owlクラスの子どもたちに少し空き時間がありました。White Owlの子どもたちはみんな大きくなったので、CHESの庭で野菜や果物を植えるチャンスです！

靴を履いて、エプロンに着替えました。Mr. Taiが土と苗を用意してくれていました。私たちは少し園内を見学し、植え方を丁寧に見ました。植物の種類によって違いがあるのが面白かったです。

例えば、葉の形がそれぞれ違っていました。キュウリの茎は、キュウリそのもののように少しとがっていました。他にも、トマトとスイカの苗も植えました。

きちんと手入れをして、天候にも恵まれれば、今年は豊作になることを願っています。みんな、よく頑張りました。
